UMLand Embraces the Values of Ramadhan with Iftar Seindah Ramadhan Initiative

KUALA LUMPUR – 23 May 2019 – In line with United Malayan Land (UMLand’s) ongoing CSR commitment for communal development and charity, the property developer hosted a “Buka Puasa” gathering with media and also individuals from PERNIM (Persatuan Kebajikan Anak kepada Pesakit HIV/AIDS Nurul Iman Malaysia)a welfare organization dedicated to helping the less fortunate. Spearheaded by UMBRECS – UMLand Recreation & Sports Club, the initiative aims to adopt and promote the spirit of Ramadhan, by providing aid to the less fortunate.

Running for the second consecutive year, Iftar Seindah Ramadhan is in line with “UMLand Cares” which focuses on community enrichment and reaching out to the community. Recognizing itself as a facilitator in infrastructural and community development, UMLand is active in its CSR efforts with the aim to create a cohesive and sustainable environment for all.

Present at the event, Yang Amat Bahagia Tun Musa Hitam, Chairman of UMLand said: “Ramadan is a time for us to reflect and to remember that the values of peace and charity, the importance of family and community are universal values which we hope to nurture among ourselves. Every individual deserves an equal opportunity to thrive – no matter their background or social status and we have an obligation to do our part by helping those in need”.

He further added: “As a property developer, instead of just focusing on the development of the infrastructural aspect, we must also not forget to contribute to the well-being of the community, the environment, our country and also the world as a whole. Bearing in mind that improving the fabric of human society and community wellbeing is crucial in achieving a sustainable urban development”.

With Days Hotel & Suites acting as both the event and venue sponsor, the collaboration saw the attendance of over 150 guests from the media and also residents from PERNIM. The evening ended with a mock cheque presentation of RM5, 000 to Puan HJH Norlina HJ Alawi, Founder of PERNIM as well as the customary “Duit Raya” handout.
