Bandar Seri Alam, October 5, 2007 – The path we take to move forward as a caring corporate citizen is one that United Malayan Land Bhd takes very seriously to win the trust and respect of the public especially our customers. Therefore, a MAJLIS BERBUKA PUASA BERSAMA ANAK YATIM DAN IBU TUNGGAL is held annually in Bandar Seri Alam whereby a number of contributions will be handed out to the orphans and single mothers.
For this year, a total of 100 orphans and single mothers will be breaking fast with UMLand’s Independent Non-Executive Director Datuk Nur Jazlan Tan Sri Mohamed along with Director of Operations Encik Zulkifly Garib at Teratak Seri Alam in Johor. The event will start at 6pm where contributions in the form of cash and hampers will be handed by Datuk Nur Jazlan before the breaking of the fast.
Apart from focusing on marginalised communities such as the elderly and children from less fortunate background, UMLand is also committed towards nurturing and protecting the environment emphasising on the landscape and surroundings of our townships.
To initiate this, UMLand will be starting with the landscaping for Bandar Seri Alam, particularly our latest development, The Valley situated on136.8 acres of prime land in the heart of Seri Alam, Johor.
A total of RM2.4 million has been budgeted to initiate the plan whereby the concept of The Valley is designed to transform the main spine of the township of Seri Alam into an ideal exclusive boulevard.
Corporate Social Responsibility is an inherent part of the UMLand’s business practices and we are cognizant that to win the trust and respect of the general public namely our customers, employees and shareholders, we need to practice responsible social behaviour in addition to producing good financial results.
