Johor Halal Park is a joint venture collaboration between United Malayan Land Bhd (UMLand) and Johor State via Johor Biotechnology & Biodiversity Corporation (J-Biotech) to create 350 acres international Halal Park which will be one of the catalyst projects in Eastern Iskandar Malaysia, Johor. J-Biotech is one of the Johor State investment company chaired by Dato’ Mohamed Khaled bin Nordin, Johor Chief Minister.
On 3rd November 2015, UMLand have signed Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Halal Development Corporation (HDC) witnesses by Prime Minister of Malaysia Dato Sri Najib Tun Razak, which formalize the support of Johor Halal Park application to become an HALMAS Accredited Halal Hub.
Johor Halal Park is an integrated industrial park, which consists of Industrial, Commercial, Corporate HQ, Regional Scientific Laboratories (for Commercial, Halal and TCM), Data-Centre, Foreign Worker Enclaves, Integrated Packaging and Warehousing Logistic facilities which is part of the Regional Marketing and Clearing House, Youth Park, One Stop Centre (OSC) and recreation related businesses facilities, all will be develop in three separate phase. These will eventually make Johor Halal Park, as the First Premium Bio-Halal Industrial Park in Malaysia.
